Katrin and the podcast
The podcast “Following the Eagle”, created by Katrin Ziegler, Professor of German Language and Literature, recounts some events from so-called "minor" history, occurring in the era between the Frederician 13th century and the Angevin 14th century. While the biography of Frederick II no longer hides any secrets, we know little about certain men and especially certain women who were linked to the Swabian emperor for family or political reasons. Yet, being of lesser historical prominence, they were often forgotten over the centuries. In ten episodes, the podcast thus traces their fates: literally invisible, but often extraordinary and undoubtedly no less significant and thrilling than the biographies of the great protagonists.
